Video - DivX

One of the things that surprised me when I had to reformat my computer was that the pre-intalled Windows Media Player (which I prefer to play audio and video) only played audio.

I had to grab a Codec Patch to play video:
http://www.divxmovies.com/codec/

I uninstalled MusicMatch, which I find just gets in the way.

So far, all of video files I have tried have worked fine.

I would not recommend installing other codec packages (all-in-one codc packages) as they can mess around with the original codecs.
