What Software I Use On My Computer
I recently had to reformat my computer and re-partition the hard drive. And it got me thinking which software I actually use.
I'm a bit of a software junkie.
For example, when I click the "Start" menu in XP and select "All Programs" I have too many programs to even show up in those 4 columns.
So when I had to reformat my computer, I thought this would be a great time to see what software is inportant to re-install.
Well, the bad news is there is still alot. And as I load more software, I'll let you know. I think this is one of the things that is really important.
OK.
So one of the first programs I installed was a virus program, AVG. You can download AVG virus program here. It's free and it works. (My computer came pre-installed with McAfee, but I don't like that software at all, so I uninstalled it.)
If you have trouble finding the "FREE" version, just click on the sitemap and you'll find it that way.

What is it that you don't like about McAfee and you do like about AVG? I used to use AVG free program and liked it but then my PC got about four viruses at once and I had to reformat my computer so I thought that maybe I needed to upgrade to a paid program and now I have McAfee. Reformating is NO fun and it takes way longer than you think it will and so does adding all the programs back on.
