Mentors In Motion, or MIM as it is often called, is the workshop created by top 90's network marketer Val Smyth. Val Smyth after years of being the guest sales trainer in various network marketing organizations started MIM because he saw the need for people to get the real truth behind successful sales and marketing. Often times Val would hear the same complaint from network marketers: "I did what my enroller told me to do. I approached my friends and family and talked to my warm market but nothing seems to be working." The reason why people your enroller tells you to approach family and friends is to make the whole process of joining non-intimidating. It is the "everyone can do this" approach. If you talk to your friends and family they will see the value in what you are doing and will join you when you show them the kind of money you can earn by building a network marketing business. Unfortunately, the failure rate in network marketing is 98% and it is because right from the start you are taught how to build a business the wrong way. Your friends and family are not a targeted market and this is one of the many mistakes that lead to your eventual downfall. MIM teaches you the right way to build your business, the way the most successful marketers do. Problem is by the time you've figured that your approach isn't working, most people are so discouraged that they quit and give up on a dream that can be a very real reality if only they had the RIGHT training.
