Stephen
A. Pierce was not well-known in the Internet Marketing world
until several months ago, when he unleashed his controversial
ebook, "The
Whole Truth And Nothing But The Truth About Internet
Marketing...Under Oath."
Now
to understand what made The Whole Truth so controversial, you
have to understand where Stephen Pierce is coming from.
Stephen
Pierce come from the stock market world. He has run a very
successful commodity trading advisory ezine Impulsive Profits
since 1997. He also publishes the ChartTraders Commodity
Charts market timing service.
ChartTraders
Focuses on over 30 market analysis techniques;
Stephen's eclectic methodology has a basis in Advanced Fibonacci
Analysis and Elliott
Wave Theory as well as proprietary timing cycles developed
from his relationship with the markets. He has an
excellent ebook on Swing
Trading also.
He's
no stranger to sales either. Last year, he sold over
$800,000 of non-internet marketing related products on the
web. The bulk of this in the Stock Market area, which is a
notoriously hard nut to crack.
Stephen
Pierce's Strengths:
Stephen
is extremely literate, intelligent, and highly outspoken.
He is one of the most driven people I've talked to. In
fact, what I admire about Stephen Pierce most is his incredible
focus.
He
has a knack form breaking-down complex chunks of information and
simplifying them, so that people outside of the industry (stock
market for example) can understand.
On
top of this, he is absolutely incredible at discovering patterns
and interpreting them. Obviously this comes in handy in
stock market analysis, but he applied this ability to the search
engine algorithms.
It
is this intersection of fresh innovation and mathematical skill
that caused such a huge commotion in the internet marketing
world.
The
Stephen Pierce Controversy:
Stephen
broke down the Google Search Engine Algorithms and discovered a
simple way that anyone can get into the top 10 by applying a
certain system that he explains in great detail in The Whole
Truth.
Under
Oath/The Whole Truth is not something you have heard
before. Stephen Pierce came in as an outsider, without any
loyalties to the "Old Boys" club of Internet Marketing
Guru's, and he has nothing to hide as a result.
(He
doesn't talk about what the other Guru's are doing either, which
is a welcome change.)
The
Whole Truth And Nothing But The Truth About Internet
Marketing...Under Oath:
In
fact, Under Oath/The Whole Truth has very valid points
from small business owners, and non-internet marketing people,
such as how to add additional revenue sources onto their site,
and how to find under developed products and capitalize on them.
- How selling less allows you to sell more
products ...much more products!
- The only 2 things that create wealth on
the internet.
- The hidden ezine traps that can paralyze
your ads and profits.
- The 5 bombshells about internet marketing
that changed my life.
- The 4 kinds of products you can sell and which ones put
you at risk of never making money.
- The key to a high sales conversion from
your list.
- The one adjustment you can make that will rocket
your sales from your ezine list, like adding
nitrous oxide to a street racer's engine.
- How to become a magnet that attracts
targeted subscribers who will trust you and buy from
you.
- The exact message Stephen sends out that consistently
produces over $5,000.00 a month in extra cash flow.
I
found several other techniques that I have not seen in print
anywhere else. (I have heard a couple of these techniques
mentioned by big-time marketers, but never seen it in their
books. Think: "cherchez le creneau."
I
also never realized that there was a much more profitable venue
than ebooks, and this niche will continue to grow in the future.
The
Google Controversy:
Basically,
though, the main points are about his "Smart Pages"
formula, which basically takes advantage of Google's own ranking
system. Now everybody knows that Google is the #1 Search
Engine, and behind closed doors they're not very happy about
what's going on.
Smart
pages are also known as "Doorway Pages," "Entry
Pages" and "Hook Pages"
Basically,
they're a highly targeted entry page for a larger page (like
this one). So you'd have multiple entry or Smart Pages
optimized for certain relevant keywords.
(As
a side note, this may open the door for Yahoo to make a comeback
as the top Search Engine)
Google
has been trying to feed the speculation that they are banning
urls that use doorway pages. The truth is that Smart Pages
are hard to find, and need to be examined individually by Google
Staff. Currently, they can't be found by spiders or bots.
So
Google staff relies on individuals to report them.
Regardless,
they do work, and are very profitable. Only the javascript
SmartPages can be withdrawn. But the amount of highly
targeted traffic you can get from a single use of SmartPages is
incredible.
10
highly targeted visitors are more valuable then 10,000
untargeted visitors.
The
Bad News about SmartPages, Hook Pages and Stephen Pierce:
Despite
the Smart Pages revelation, there is plenty more juicy nuggets
in The Whole Truth, simple because of Stephen Pierce's unique
perspective.
There
are numerous grammatical and spelling errors, which are quite
distracting, but not detrimental.
And,
of course, there is the whole problem with the Smart Pages in
the future. Google knows about it, and they won't let a
loophole like this stay open forever. Personally, I
recommend that you stay away from the javascript version and
work on the Flash version, which is undetectable.
Smart
Pages require a lot of work and organization, but they are much
more profitable than Pay-Per-Clicks any day. (And even
more targeted.)
